Peter Browne was Church Musician at Trinity Memorial Church, Binghamton, from 1981 to 2015. Prior to coming to Binghamton, he served churches in New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. A graduate of Bard College, he earned a Master's Degree in Organ from Binghamton University in 1980. His teachers included Searle Wright and Paul Jordan in organ, Jacob Druckman in music theory, and David Buttolph in choral conducting. In 1993, he was awarded a fellowship to study choral conducting with Sir David Willcocks , former director of the Choir of Kings College, Cambridge, and the Bach Choir, London. As a faculty member at Binghamton University, he directed the Harpur Chorale and taught musicianship in the theory program. Mr Browne performed as a soloist, director and accompanist throughout the eastern United States, as well as Canada, England and Wales. He also appeared frequently as an organ soloist and guest conductor with the Madrigal Choir of Binghamton, He was a founding member of Binghamton's Early On music ensemble.
